Choosing Your Color Palette

Wedding Mood Board

Choosing a wedding and palette goes being picking your favorite colors. Think about the overall aesthetic of your wedding day.

What inspires you about your venue?

You work so hard to hunt for the perfect venue for your wedding. Now it is time to think about the colors you have day dreamed about. The colors and hues should be able to enhance your vision and enrich the venue and your ambiance. Select three things you love about the space and let you inspirations flow.

Embrace the season

Just like your wardrobe, creating a wedding color palette can be inspired by the time of your nuptials are planned for. If your favorite color is pink there are many ways that you can use this color throughout the seasons. A light blush is popular in Spring, a traditional pink is warm in the Summer, while a deep fuchsia pair with darker tones in the Fall/Winter can be gorgeous.

Don’t overthink about the colors

There are no specific rules of what, when and where you can use the colors that you choose. Decades ago black for bridesmaids dresses may have been frown upon. This is a new age, a new day, and you my friend march to your beat. Gather a few things that inspire you and start for there. Whether a favorite outfit, painting, the place you had your first date.

Whatever colors you select, just have fun and make it your own. Your wedding planner is a great asset to assist you with designing based on the textures and tones of the venue and what you love. There is a happy medium that can be created.

Cheers to Planning!
